In 1998 she was lead vocalist with Glasgow girl band Babe n Co who were featured on TV, radio and had extensive press coverage. During this time Pamela hosted her own radio show on BBC and the band was followed by a TV crew for a fly on the wall documentary for BBC Television.
Being a member of the band was fun and provided me with invaluable performing experience but I have always had a burning desire to write and perform my own material. The success of the band gave me the impetus to fulfil this ambition and I made the difficult to decision to leave and pursue my dream.
Pamela simply bought a guitar, taught herself to play and tentatively wrote her first tracks. She spent a few months in the studio developing her material, recorded the first demo and performed some live acoustic sets.
Even without representation, her tracks have had moderate success and have received airplay on BBC Radio 1, and various local music stations. Pamela also has a section on mp3.com where her tracks are regularly downloaded.
Pamela is currently working on new material so stay tuned to this site for the latest info.
